Winter 2023 Grower Education Meetings

January 10, 2023 and January 12, 2023 – The KRWCA is co-hosting the Winter 2023 Grower Education Meetings with both in-person and online live webinar options. The January 10 meeting will be held in person from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, and the January 12 meeting will be held on Zoom from 3:00 – 4:00 PM. Please register using the link below. Agenda topics include instructions on completing the required 2022 Crop Year Irrigation & Nitrogen Management Plan Summary Report, 2023 Crop Year Irrigation & Nitrogen Management Plan Worksheet, and other regulatory updates. If you are not able to attend, you can still obtain outreach attendance credit by watching the video recording of the webinar and then completing the Attendance Credit Form after the event when recording is posted.

Irrigation & Nitrogen Management Continuing Education Units (CEU) – To fulfill your CEU units, visit INMP Self-Certification Continuing Education Courses for approved courses. If you passed the INMP Self-Certification exam in 2018 and prior, you are required to complete 3 hours of continuing education by April 30, 2021 in order to self-certify your INMP Worksheet for 2021. If you are unsure of how many CEUs you have completed, please email us.

INMP Self-Certification Trainings – KRWCA held a NMP Self-Certification Training in January 2016 for all members who were interested. We have not scheduled another self-certification training because we do not know if there is a need. If you are interested in attending a four-hour training session, that requires taking and passing a test, to become qualified to certify your own INMP worksheet, and have not already done so, please email admin@krwca.org. If we have enough interest, we will schedule another training in Kern County. If not, a list of approved trainings scheduled in surrounding counties is available here: INMP Self-Certification Trainings.

MPEP Technical Meeting held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 – The MPEP Technical Meeting held on March 28 at the Kern Ag Pavilion in Bakersfield included discussions on: an overview of the MPEP and what it has to do with the ILRP, what the MPEP will do for growers, how it will work and what it will produce, and an overview of management tools and information available for growers.
