Initial Enrollment Deadline: August 4, 2014!   The deadline to apply directly to the KRWCA was August 4, 2014. Following the deadline, growers/landowners will need to complete a KRWCA membership application, pay applicable membership fees, and provide a Notice of Intent (NOI) directly to the Regional Water Quality Control Board. Memberships after the August 4, 2014 initial enrollment deadline will be subject to higher fees per acre.

How to Become a Member

Post Deadline Membership

Complete and submit the Post-Deadline Membership Application with a check made payable to the Kern River Watershed Coalition Authority. Supporting Membership Application documents are provided below under “Become a Member.” Contact the KRWCA for a Post Deadline Application and further instructions.

Application Process:

  1. A Post Deadline Membership Application will need to be completed and applicable membership fees will need to be paid in order to start the membership process. Contact the KRWCA for the Post-Deadline Membership Application and fee information. Email or call (661) 616-6500.
  2. Upon receipt of the completed application and membership fee, the KRWCA will issue a temporary membership identification (ID) number to you. Once you receive your ID number, proceed to Step 3.
  3. Complete the Regional Board’s Notice of Intent (NOI)(PDF) and submit a signed copy of the NOI with payment. Parcel numbers and the KRWCA temporary membership ID number will be needed to complete this NOI. Please note, the Regional Board charges a fee for this required application, separate from KRWCA membership fees.
  4. Once submitted, the Regional Board will review your NOI, verify KRWCA enrollment, and issue a Notice of Applicability to you. Once you receive confirmation from the Regional Board, the KRWCA will convert your membership from temporary to full membership status.

2015/2016 Enrollment Fees
Members $6.50/irrigated acre
Late Fee (after May 15) $10.50/irrigated acre
Annual Administration Fee $100.00

2014/2015 Enrollment Fees
Within Existing Participating Districts:
Members who sign up after August 4, 2014 $10.50/irrigated acre
Annual Administration Fee $100.00
Outside of Existing Participating Districts:
Members who sign up after August 4, 2014 $11.50/irrigated acre
Annual Administration Fee $100.00
